Volunteering
Belmont University
Awarded a Presidential Scholarship at Belmont University, Nikki volunteered over 40 hours per semester most semesters. She volunteered at Belmont events and Nashville Public Library, but most of her hours were spent with The Store, Nashville, TN.
The Store
The Store is non-profit grocery store where food insecure individuals and families in Nashville receive assistance while maintaining the dignity of the shopping experience. Nikki volunteered Saturday mornings at the store during her four years at Belmont. Volunteering at The Store has made me feel much more connected to the community of Nashville,” sophomore music business and film acting major Nikki Wildy said. “Sometimes college can feel a bit like a bubble, but volunteering has allowed me to meet so many people from around the area, in both the other volunteers and the patrons. You feel like you’re really making a tangible impact in people’s lives through this incredible organization.”

Music Curing More Concert
In support of the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, Student of the Year Campaign, Nikki organized and directed a benefit concert raising more than $3000 for LLS. Talented musicians from the state of Maryland performed to a crowd of over 200 friends and family. Nikki was the MC for the concern and also performed her original music.

Smile Train
Nikki, along with her friend Leah, requested donations to Smile Train instead of birthday presents. They collected and donated over $800 from their friends during a joint roller-skating birthday party.

Worldwide Shelters – Raise Shelter, Raise Hope
Nikki raised over $1000 for this organization that builds shelters in disadvantaged countries. She asked her family and friends to donate money instead of buying her presents for her ninth birthday.
